“I am not just a body having a soul.
I am a soul in human existence in this temporal body.
This not my body, this is the sacred Temple of God.
Heart is not of flesh and blood alone, Heart is the very Throne of God.”

Conquering the Internal Villain

So many mountains before me. Waiting in the distance to be conquered. Such excitement in my soul in anticipation of reaching the summit. After all, in the act of moving mountains one is able to see what we’re really made of.

However, along the path there are many wise trees that guide us with their wisdom and knowledge. We must listen and meditate on their whispers. In their silence, they teach us that once reaching the mountain, the skill is learning to be lead with our hearts rather than our head.

As we journey through the terrain and sit with the trees we also encounter the weeds. The weeds are the thorns in our lives that need to be tamed in order to move mountains with ease. To go with the flow.

The freshness of each new day reveals a new painting. That’s the beauty of life. Nature teaches us to be artists of life. Each day is an opportunity to invent our authentic selves. To honour our soul’s contract. To see ourselves as directors, writing the script in our own play.

In so doing, we choose which characters we want and those we don’t.

With this vision, the mountain doesn’t seem so big after all. In the end, we learn that in the process of reaching the mountain, life was preparing us for the obstacles ahead.

The Art of Peace

searchforfuel:

“Now and again, it is necessary to seclude yourself among deep mountains and hidden valleys to restore your link to the source of life. Sit comfortably and first contemplate the manifest realm of existence. This realm is concerned with externals, the physical form of things. Then fill your body with ki and sense the manner in which the universe functions- its shape, its color, and its vibrations. Breathe in and let yourself soar to the ends of the universe; breathe out and bring the cosmos back inside. Next, breathe up all the fecundity and vibrancy of the earth. Finally, blend the breath of heaven and the breath of the earth with that of your own body, becoming the breath of life itself. As you calm down, naturally let yourself settle in the heart of things. Find your center, and fill yourself with light and heat.”

SPIRITUAL PATH AND SURVIVING LIFE’S STORMS by: UZOMA HANSSENS AGWU AKA RASUZ

The spiritual path is continually going up and down, like the waves of an ocean. As we grow, the key lesson is to learn how to remain calm and peaceful during both the ups and the downs. It is quite easy to enjoy the blissful times of the path, but after a storm that hits the ocean, it is uneasy for sometime. Falling off the spiritual path and getting back on the track is something a spiritual seeker should get used to, because it is normal.
